The Media Operations team develops solutions for public figures and media publishers on Facebook and Instagram by creating scaled systems to address the issues impacting their experience with our product and support, analyzing how they interact with products and each other, and packaging these insights for the rest of the company.

We are seeking an individual who is passionate about optimizing operational tools and systems, has experience developing technical roadmaps, can drive large and complex infrastructure projects, and can lead discussions with cross-functional teams across the company. They will collaborate with the Media Operations Integrity team and cross-functional stakeholders to predict potential threats and abuse in the media ecosystem, proactively reduce negative experiences for Media partners on the platform, and create a safe environment for Media partners to engage with their audience on Facebook.

This is a full-time position located in Dublin, Ireland.

Required Skills:

  1. Become an expert in the support experience for public figures and media publishers across Facebook's family of apps

  2. Understand integrity problems, policies, and risks with the ability to effectively translate them into scaled technical solutions that improve support and product experiences for partners

  3. Develop technical roadmaps and project plans to implement new systems end-to-end

  4. Effectively prioritize competing engineering needs to ensure infrastructure stability and increase impact on core KPIs

  5. Partner closely with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders through the planning, design, development, testing, launch, and post-launch phases of new tools and systems

  6. Troubleshoot issues and support engineers and stakeholders with bug fixes

  7. Analyze the scale and efficiency of workflows to make drive data-driven decisions that align with team/company goals and values

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree or higher

  2. 8+ years of experience in online operations, technical project management, or product management

  3. 1+ years of experience with SQL

  4. Experience working with engineers to drive technical projects end-to-end

  5. Experience working cross-functionally and across multiple time zones and functions

  6. Ability to think strategically about issues, leading to recommendations and action plans

  7. Experience in integrity-related industries or functions (e.g. fraud, security, safety, spam, risk)

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 1+ years experience using a project management method (e.g. Scrum, Lean, Waterfall, etc.)

  2. Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence

  3. Experience with functional programing languages (e.g. Haskell) or statistical software (e.g. R)
