Summary:

The Global Mobility Specialist in Facebook’s People Operations team provides quality customer service to employees and internal stakeholders in a timely manner by handling the EMEA inbound global mobility program (relocation, tax and immigration). The ideal representative has had previous experience in managing a Global Mobility program with a strong vendor management background. This is a permanent role and will be part of our Global Mobility center of excellence based in our EMEA Headquarters in Dublin, reporting to the Global Mobility Manager EMEA.

Required Skills:

  1. With the support of our mobility vendors, manage the day to day case management of our EMEA global mobility program (with a key focus on our immigration program)

  2. Manage the new hire and transferring employee immigration consultation process. Work with vendor and global immigration team to keep up to date on changing immigration regulations

  3. Scale with the company to ultimately provide consultations on the most complex and high level matters to develop strategies to mitigate risk and provide timely solutions

  4. Work with our mobility vendors closely to partner on ensuring a premium employee experience, determine best ways to scale the program and develop process improvements

  5. Work with our mobility partners across the region to ensure a smooth mobility experience for our employees

  6. Develop and maintain an internal stakeholder (e.g. recruiting) EMEA education program (particularly immigration) that is scalable

  7. Continue to review daily/repeatable tasks to determine the optimal delivery strategy, internally, vendor, shared service etc.

  8. Lead various internal reviews or audits of global mobility data, processes and policies

  9. Manage content updates to global mobility program on internal portal

  10. Partner with the Global Immigration Manager and Global Mobility Manager on specialized projects

  11. Collaborate with growing global mobility team on other team initiatives and projects as assigned

  12. Expected to take on additional program ownership in the Global Mobility area as team scales to meet company growth needs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years’ experience in Global Mobility/ Immigration

  2. Technical/Working knowledge of global visa types, processes and the ability to review case facts to determine the optimal filing type Strong vendor management skills with a focus on accountability and building relationships

  3. Robust analytic skills, including data analysis and interpretation skills with the ability to effectively use data to drive recommendations

  4. Demonstrated problem-solving, prioritization, and customer service skills

  5. Ability to clearly articulate complex/nuanced relocation matters (preferably immigration) to employees and/or stakeholders

  6. Ability to think through end to end solutions to improve the processes

  7. Project management and process improvement background

  8. Capable of exercising independent judgment and discretion while utilizing company policies and practices to determine appropriate action

  9. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and lead multiple projects simultaneously involving various groups / locations / vendors

  10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and dealing with ambiguity

  11. Advanced knowledge of Excel data analysis / manipulation, including pivot tables, V-lookups, and chart creation

  12. Prior experience in employee relations or customer service working directly with front line managers, leaders, and employees or HR preferred

  13. Experience in developing innovative methods to automate manual processes

  14. Member of the Employee Relocation Council (ERC) and Global Mobility Certification is a bonus.
