The SMB team contributes directly to this mission by connecting every small business in the world with their customers on Facebook...and then helping them grow through solutions like pages, advertising, and messaging. We succeed when we help our customers grow their business.

The SMB team at Facebook is one of two sales channels responsible for Facebook’s multi-billion dollar advertising business. Our team specifically manages the vast majority of Facebook’s 6M+ advertisers. And our potential business is even larger with more than 80M active SMB Pages on Facebook. We’re just getting started.

The UK&I Director is one of our regional SMB leadership positions. The UK&I leader is empowered with broad responsibility for all the regions SMB efforts. This includes revenue management, the team, sales, marketing, partnerships, service, policy relationships, and operations.

To be clear – sales and service at Facebook is a tight partnership with the many teams. With millions of clients, we cannot employ traditional smile-and-dial sales techniques. Instead, we work collaboratively and analytically with product and marketing teams to identify the key areas where human-powered sales/service matter. We like it that way. And we think our clients do too.

This position is full-time and located in our Dublin, Ireland office - our EMEA Headquarters. Occasional global travel required.

Required Skills:

  1. Leadership & management of the SMB UK&I advertising business

  2. Team leadership including recruiting, training, and development

  3. Development of UK&I sales and service strategy in partnership with our UK&I cross functional teams

  4. Leadership of key global SMB initiatives (such as outsourcing strategy, or channel sales) with your peers on the SMB leadership team

  5. Diagnose and explain key trends and short term movements in revenue

  6. Structure, help negotiate, and manage relationships with partners

  7. Represent the SMB organisation with industry organisations, in the press, and with other Facebook teams

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Ideal candidates will have strong experience leading teams, building scaled sales and service organisations, overseeing complex operations, and analytical marketing.

  2. Success in this position requires a passion for leadership, strong analytical skills, a focus on client service, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

  3. Significant experience in sales, operations, marketing, or consulting

  4. Significant experience in building and leading teams

  5. Demonstrate excellence in complex and analytical operations

  6. Ability to ruthlessly prioritise

  7. BA/BS degree from a leading academic institution
