Summary:

Facebook is seeking to fill the position of Director - Finance Process Transformation and Compliance. The successful candidate will be a thought leader with a proven record of leading process transformation initiatives and delivering results to trusted partners across the entire enterprise. The successful candidate will be equally comfortable delivering on operations goals and process transformation. In this newly created role, the Director will grow and build multiple teams with expertise in process transformation, program management, advanced finance technologies and quality assurance for outsourced operations. Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer (CAO), this is a high impact role with significant leadership accountability. This full-time position will be located in Menlo Park, CA or Austin, TX and will require global travel.

Required Skills:

  1. Team Building and Process Transformation Initiatives

  2. Build and develop our new Finance Transformation team with a mission to accelerate scale through automation and the introduction of advanced finance technologies in partnership with our Enterprise Engineering (IT) teams

  3. Identify and drive initiatives which automate and optimize global business processes and systems in finance and which foster trust and accountability in financial reporting and compliance with legal, tax, audit, regulatory, Sarbanes-Oxley and jurisdictional requirements in every country we operate

  4. Maintain continuous alignment of our CAO team efforts on projects which have a bold impact on Facebook's finance and accounting processes, employee and customer experiences

  5. Partner with cross-functional teams and global process owners to identify opportunities, prioritize and execute on process improvement

  6. Study operational efficiency and direct investments in team and talent capabilities, particularly digital skills development, which will enable Facebook's growth and finance scale

  7. Project Management Office

  8. Build a strong PM organization to plan, prioritize and execute complex global finance projects

  9. Provide leadership for all finance project managers, foster professional growth and create rotation opportunities across the organization

  10. Collaborate with cross-functional partners globally to develop project roadmaps and maintain effective communication channels

  11. BPO Excellence, Quality Assurance and Compliance

  12. Grow the existing global team to enhance the service levels of our business process outsourcing (BPO) providers, mandate includes growing team and capabilities across our process transformation, data standards, digital skills development, data analytics, operational excellence, continuous monitoring, quality assurance and vendor management programs

  13. Partner in continuous evaluation of our BPO strategy, talent location and technology investments

  14. Success in this role involves an ability to think critically and creatively, build and lead a team, plan and execute effectively while collaborating across global locations

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent degree

  2. 15+ years of experience including multi-national, public companies

  3. Experience leading process transformation, shared services, project management, major systems implementation, acquisition integration with some experience with finance and compliance

  4. Demonstrated deployment of advanced digital finance technologies such as advanced analytics, machine learning, robotic process automation, etc.

  5. Experience working collaboratively in a cross - functional, global environment

  6. Managerial experience aligning vision, goals and resources and delivering results

  7. Leadership experience, optimizing employee engagement and growth outlook, and communication experience
