The Data Center Security Operations Center Associate Manager leads a 24/7 Data Center SOC team to protect Facebook's people, assets and reputation. Under the direction of a DC-SOC Manager (SOCM) or Regional DC-SOC Manager (RSOCM), the Associate Manager leads, guides and directs daily DC-SOC operations. In partnership with the DC-SOC Manager and the Data Center Security Manager, the Associate Manager develops, implements and supports Global Security Operations, Data Center Security, and Crisis Management initiatives, processes and best practices to support strategic goals and drive performance metrics. Directs SOC incident response, monitoring and assessment of events that have the potential to compromise the safety and security of the data center and other locations being monitored by the DC-SOC. Provides support to business partners during business disruptions, and assists DC GS Management to handle the situation escalation and communications to both site and corporate leadership. In a crisis, facilitates SOC and Command Center actions as directed and defined by Data Center Site Response Plan and GS Management.
Leads the SOC team daily in support of all designated SOC functions with oversight of SOCM/RSOCM.
Assists SOCM/RSOCM with planning, implementation and corrective measures regarding local DC-SOC operations.
Assists Global Security Operations (GSO) team in planning, implementation and corrective measures regarding global DC-SOC operations.
Monitors key performance indicators and determines and reports gaps in performance metrics, and recommends/executes change management techniques for efficiency/quality improvements.
Within defined staffing requirements, ensure contractor is recruiting, hiring, training, developing, and retaining highly qualified team members.
Ensures SOC receives timely and effective training on all current and new technologies and processes.
In coordination with SOCM/RSOCM, engages with cross-functional teams to evaluate SOC's ability to meet stakeholder needs.
Regularly reviews standard operating procedures, protocols and site response plan to ensure SOC continues to effectively meet operational requirements.
Provides information and strategic guidance to GS Management during incidents and crises.
Supports SOCM Develops a strong working relationship with key business partners to ensure excellent cross departmental co-operation and business support to include local emergency services.
Executes all other duties as assigned.
Ability to work with highly confidential information.
Ability to work nights and weekends, based on needs of the operations center.
Bachelor’s Degree or 4+ years of work experience in an operations center environment (GSOC, SOC, Fusion Center, or similar 24x7 communications hub).
Experience leading a team and managing projects.
Communication with management, time management, and decision-making experience especially during times of crisis.
Experience establishing and maintaining cross-functional working relationships.
Technical knowledge and operational experience with Office Suite, Security and SOC technologies and applications (CCTV, Access Control, Notification Systems, etc.).
Data Center security experience.
Vendor management experience.
ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP) certifications and/or IAEM Certified Emergency Manager (CEM).
