The Infrastructure Connectivity & Deployments team is responsible for managing infrastructure connectivity solutions deployment emerging from Facebook Connectivity Lab and TIP Technologies commencing with early trials and pilots across the globe. Infrastructure Connectivity & Deployments Engineer is responsible for engineering end to end connectivity solutions. We are looking for someone to join our team to help engineer and implement these technologies.

Required Skills:

  1. Comprehensive wireless and TCP/IP network design and implementation.

  2. Work cross functionally with partners, project management, and network engineering to build network designs to solve for connectivity requirements.

  3. Interface directly with partners and serve as escalation to connectivity engineering and product teams.

  4. Develop requirements and develop implementation plans with business partners.

  5. Work with program managers, procurement, engineering, installation teams and vendors to formalize the site design requirements and deployment plans.

  6. Work cross-functionally with local municipalities, engineering, and 3rd party vendors.

  7. Integrate connectivity solutions with carrier/ISP networks.

  8. Maintain technical and training documentation, develop automation and tooling as needed.

  9. Proactively contribute to documentation, automation and processes as they evolve.

    1. Interface directly with partner technical and executive teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Strong TCP/IP networking background.

  2. Proficiency in wireless networks, wireless telecom interfaces, implementation, and debugging.

  3. Experience with carrier backhaul including mmWave, microwave, core networks, WIFI access points, or WIFI ISP deployments.

  4. Experience with wireless telecommunications systems and equipment deployment in emerging markets.

  5. Start-up or technical infrastructure experience a plus.

  6. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel/PowerPoint and experience conducting executive level briefings.

  7. Automation experience and familiarity with network tools is plus.

  8. Ability to present information in an insightful and structured manner, both written, verbal and visual.

  9. Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and cross-functional management skills with a clear focus under pressure.

  10. Ability to travel internationally, up to 50% of the time. Comfort working across time zones, remote teams and cultures required.
