Summary:
The APAC Marketing Science team is seeking an experienced measurement and insight professional to partner with advertisers in the Greater China region to understand their consumers on Facebook and the effectiveness of their ad spend. Consumer behavior is rapidly changing and as a result marketing is changing. Facebook is uniquely positioned to influence the future of marketing given its reach and the capabilities of our platform. This role represents an opportunity to help shape that influence in one of the fastest growing regions. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a desire to work at the forefront of advertising, and a passion for generating data-based insights. This role will challenge the candidate to not only provide strategic direction to major advertisers on their measurement efforts, but also to undertake original audience research, work deeply with the external research industry, and develop strategic insights into marketing on the Facebook platform. Applicants should be comfortable in a client-facing role, quantitatively oriented with experience in analyzing large datasets, focused on results, and self-motivated. This is a full time position based in our Hong Kong office.

Required Skills:

  1. Deliver audience insights around users in the region

  2. Work closely with advertisers to develop research (via campaign level measurement plans) to understand the relative impact of different marketing strategies on Facebook

  3. Conduct in-depth custom market research studies and advertising effectiveness studies for advertisers, leveraging internal survey and data analysis tools

  4. Lead client conversations and influences client measurement thinking

  5. Serve as the day-to-day contact for key strategic advertiser relationships as they pertain to measurement

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Sufficient media/marketing measurement or analytics experience and general love of data and numbers

  2. 8+ years relevant experience is preferred. Track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner

  3. Solid understanding of online advertising and familiarity with branding&performance advertising and marketing frameworks, including ad effectiveness measurement techniques

  4. Excellent team work spirit, communication and client-interaction skills are essential

    1. Statistical analysis experience valuable, including but not limited to experimental design

    2. Familiarity with survey research methods and considerations

    3. Quantitative background with strong Excel and SQL skills and the curiosity and persistence to work with large data sets

    4. Management consulting, agency, or sales experiences are highly valuable

    5. Fluency in Mandarin required, knowledge of Cantonese desired
