Facebook seeks a highly motivated and talented technical infrastructure attorney to serve as Associate General Counsel, Network Infrastructure for the APAC region. This full-time position will be based in Facebook's Hong Kong office, report to the Director & Associate General Counsel, Network Infrastructure and work closely with Facebook’s APAC Infrastructure Sourcing team. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and work in an exciting, fast-paced environment.
Structure, draft and negotiate a broad range of agreements in support of the expansion of Facebook’s network infrastructure, including IP transit, transport, dark fiber leases and IRUs, colocation, and subsea and terrestrial capacity agreements.
Identify issues and collaborate with other internal teams (e.g., Finance, Tax, Compliance) and external counsel to structure appropriate commercial frameworks and support global network initiatives.
Provide business and legal advice to develop effective relationships with key vendors and partners.
Handle administration and resolution of legal issues that arise in existing commercial relationships.
Meet the legal requirements to practice Law in country
9+ years of experience structuring, drafting and negotiating technical infrastructure and/or telecommunications agreements
In-house experience in a carrier/telecom company and within the APAC region preferred
Strong drafting and negotiation skills along with excellent business judgment and strategic thinking
Hardworking, well organized and able to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure
Exceptional interpersonal skills and a commitment to professionalism and collegiality
Competency in at least 1 other Asian language would be highly advantageous
