The IBOS Logistics Lead is responsible for executing all relevant logistics functions in support of data center operations. This role works directly with the APAC team in Singapore and closely with EMEA and AMER regional teams and counterparts as part of a global logistics organization.
This position is primarily responsible for leading a team of contingent workers in executing receiving, storage, distribution, tracking, and RMA activities for the inventories required ensuring consistent, uninterrupted Facebook data center operations. Ensure Facebook inventory and asset management systems are monitored and operated. Must forge and maintain close relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and partners. Also provides Menlo Park-based teams and other regional leads with observations and feedback regarding how logistics systems are landing in region, provide recommendations for improvement, and address emerging requirements or unexpected changes to previous forecasts. The individual works closely with logistic vendors to support and optimize the domestic warehousing and transportation network.
This position is full-time and will be based at the Colocation data center in Osaka, Japan.
Manage all day-to-day aspects of material movement, including shipping and receiving, inventory management and cycle counting.
Produce monthly audits of compliance to ensure meeting all inventory controls.
Support month- and quarter-end requirements to ensure appropriate financial reporting.
Lead inventory reconciliation process to identify risk, manage obsolescence, and reserve appropriately.
Proactively monitor system interfaces with external suppliers to identify and correct any errors that impact product movements.
Manage suppliers, materials and inventory in a manner consistent with the requirements of Facebook.
Help define and manage ongoing KPI’s to measure supplier performance.
Understand business requirements, implement new processes, and contribute to ongoing process improvements.
Resolve project issues and coordinate appropriate escalation.
Actively maintain the dashboards and index reports to drive improvement and trending metrics.
Lead our domestic logistics vendor network in support of logistics requirements and the primary contact for daily operations.
Monitor and resolve asset discrepancies, which can constraint a deployment.
Shipment transactions in ERP and in-house tools.
BS degree in Logistics or Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience
High proficiency in using ERP such as Oracle/Peoplesoft to perform transportation, asset and warehousing transactions
Project /program manager experience with large scale financial /budgeting /controls knowledge
Solid understanding of warehouse inventory management and visibility tools
Proven record of supply chain optimization, automation and best practices implementation
Strong analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills. Clear focus under pressure
Ability to be proactive and collaborate with different individuals across the organization and geographies, and "roll-up the sleeves" in order to accomplish all necessary tasks
Strong organizational and time management skills that ensures concurrent tasks/project activities are completed
Good oral and written English skills. Must be fluent in written Japanese and a native speaker.
