Summary:

Facebook is seeking a strong, experienced sales and marketing professional to help build and sell Facebook’s advertising solutions to large online advertisers focused to FMCG industry clients. You’ll contribute to a high-caliber team in a business that is experiencing rapid and dramatic growth. This role will require a self-starter who has also demonstrated previous solid performance and work in a constantly changing environment, dealing with ambiguity, and demonstrate problem-solving leadership with limited oversight. Ideal candidates will have experience in a sales environment as well as extensive experience selling cross-network online marketing solutions such as integrated sponsorships and display advertising. This role is part of GAT (Global Accounts Team) reporting to GAT Sales Team in New York. This position is located in our Tokyo, Japan office.

Required Skills:

  1. Help define Facebook overall approach for the FMCG and retail industries, working with client's marketing teams and agencies

  2. Identify and prioritize business opportunities

  3. Partner with other cross-functional teams on structuring and executing operational and strategic initiatives - developing work plans, synthesizing market related data, leading analysis and defining the overall business approach to Facebook’s success

  4. Increase the effectiveness of the team by recognizing opportunities for new approaches

  5. Develop and implement best practices for client interaction, sales and services for Facebook, including a good understanding of working with advertisers and agencies

  6. Prospect and penetrate large organizations to obtain branded advertising

  7. Develop metrics to measure the growth and performance of the sales team, and provide reports as needed

  8. Create persuasive sales presentations using market trends, case studies and Facebook network solutions

  9. Analyze campaign performance statistics and recommend optimized media solutions

  10. Exceed sales, pricing and yield goals for yourself and your team

  11. Ensure that our clients receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of Marketing, Brand Advertising, Media Sales and/or Online Advertising experience or equivalent experience from consulting firm

  2. Proven track record of reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals

  3. Relationships with top marketing decision makers at traditional companies and agencies

  4. Demonstrated success as a leader of change, achieving operational excellence by introducing new performance measures, processes and systems

  5. Ability to win the support of key stakeholders

  6. Ability to perform well in a highly dynamic, rapidly changing environment

  7. Understanding of user behavior and how technology works and the ability to explain each in ordinary terms

  8. Knowledge of social media, reseller channels and vertical markets a plus

  9. Excellent communication and presentation skills

  10. Great team player

  11. BA or BS degree or equivalent experience preferred

  12. Fluent Japanese and business fluency in English
