Facebook is seeking a Manager of Communications, to lead communications for Facebook’s corporate/business, product, engineering and privacy, safety and security efforts in Israel.
The ideal candidate will have deep understanding of the media landscape, experience in consumer, corporate, B2B and product communications. We are looking for someone who is passionate about Facebook, has knowledge of the digital industry, is an excellent writer, and has strong experience in developing and executing high-profile communications initiatives. To find success in this position, the ideal candidate needs to be creative, strategic, be able to thrive in a demanding, fast-moving environment and work on a number of projects simultaneously.
The role requires managing proactive and reactive communications, from strategy to messaging to execution. This position is full-time and is located in Facebook’s Tel Aviv office.
Develop and execute communications strategies and initiatives to support Facebook’s corporate, engineering, business, product, policy, privacy, safety and security efforts
Work cross-functionally with internal teams (especially policy, engineering and business) on individual media opportunities and broader programs
Develop strategies and own day-to-day execution for press relations programs and reactive issues handling
Educate press, bloggers and influencers about core Facebook products and initiatives
Organize press briefings, media sessions and events
Source, develop and write a wide range of communications materials including blog posts, press plans, reactive statements and media briefing materials
Minimum bachelors degree or equivalent experience
Proven professional experience, in press relations, communications or journalism
Strong existing relationships with Israeli media and correspondents from international outlets based in Israel
Ability to manage a broad range of both proactive and reactive projects and to see these through in a fast-paced environment
Exemplary verbal and written communication skills in English and Hebrew
Team player with strong project management and decision-making skills
Experience in managing PR agencies and contractors
Deep understanding and passion for Facebook and technology
Well-developed advocacy skills
Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
