Summary:

Facebook is looking for a superb Policy Programs Manager to build partnerships that demonstrate the value of Facebook's platform to advance economic growth and social good. As part of Facebook’s Global Public Policy organization, the Programs team is responsible for designing, developing and launching global programs that leverage the extraordinary reach of Facebook to promote social, economic, and cultural impact. We are looking for candidates who can build partnerships with strategic constituents and deliver high impact programs in Brazil. You should have a clear understanding of the policy challenges Facebook is facing and ambitious and creative ideas about how to solve these. You must have the ability to rally colleagues from across the company to scale, run & measure programs and investments. You should be highly organised and impact orientated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. This position is full time and based in our Brasília office.

Required Skills:

  1. Create, manage and scale programs and partnerships across Brazil with key policymakers and stakeholders. Work directly with the Policy team to identify priorities and stakeholders

  2. Build creative partnerships with key opinion leaders, associations, non profits and advocacy groups to engage them in our collective efforts to support local communities

  3. Build relationships and partnerships with governments to build programs and partnerships

  4. Stay informed on relevant and emerging economic growth policy issues

  5. Coordinate internal and external players across countries and time zones, keeping all informed of progress and deadlines

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 8+ years’ experience in planning and executing public policy programs

  2. Ability to drive and manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously

  3. Ability to think, plan, and execute resourcefully and creatively

  4. Public policy and/or international relations experience

  5. Excellent communication skills

  6. Willingness to roll up sleeves and do any task required to get the job done

  7. Fluency in Portuguese and English

  8. Experience in the Internet technology industry a plus

  9. Passion for Facebook, its community, and its values
