Facebook Process Engineer in Redmond, Washington
At Oculus Research you'll have the opportunity to work on additive and subtractive manufacturing techniques with an interdisciplinary team of engineers and scientists. You'll be tasked with performing clean room processes, such as lithography, metallization, etching and material characterization. The candidate will work closely with an interdisciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and technicians in an interactive environment to develop micro-fabrication processes and manufacturing capability.
Perform a full suite of micro-fabrication processes including: photolithography, wet and dry etch, thin film deposition and characterization
Produce accurate files necessary for CNC Routing and 3D printing processes
Work with engineering personnel to determine fabrication methods
Identify and implement process improvements including new methods and/or processes to improve productivity and efficiency
Prepare SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for a bunch of equipment and train the cleanroom personnel, engineers and scientists as needed
Schedule maintenance, repair and installation of equipment as needed.
Summarize and communicate findings accurately to engineering team and management as needed
Experience with additive and subtractive manufacturing techniques
Knowledgeable in the use of AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks
Hands-on experience on metrology tools: surface profiler, scanning electron microscope and thin film thickness measurement systems
Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in lithography and process development
Must be hands-on, self-motivated and capable of completing tasks with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment
Demonstrates an ability to collaborate with people of various educational and technical backgrounds.
Research experience in soft lithography and familiarity with silicone chemistry
