Summary:

Facebook is seeking an experienced and energetic recruiter to support research intern recruiting efforts within engineering. The ideal candidate will have technical recruiting experience with PhD students in a high-volume environment. We're looking for a patient, communicative, team player that is detail-oriented and has outstanding interpersonal skills. This role is located in our New York, NY office.

Required Skills:

  1. Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for PhD interns across several locations

  2. Partner closely with other PhD recruiters to ensure smooth candidate transition and consistent candidate experience

  3. Collaborate with client groups and hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and goals

  4. Facilitate interview and hiring discussions with interviewers and hiring managers

  5. Manage and further relationships with university staff and faculty at targeted universities

  6. Act as a resource to PhD interns throughout their internship including on-boarding, performance evaluation, and conversion process

  7. Innovate on ways to build a talent pipeline from top Computer Science PhD programs

  8. Partner with Academic Relations team to leverage and build relationships resulting in candidate pipelines

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors degree with 2+ years experience in technical recruiting organizations

  2. Ability to screen CVs to identify specialized candidates.

  3. Ability to understand relevant tech skill sets, research conferences, academic labs, and communities

  4. Ability to communicate across various stakeholder groups in several locations

  5. Problem-solving skills and ability to handle ambiguous situations

  6. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  7. Organizational skills and attention to detail

  8. Ability to engage passive candidates

  9. Ability to work flexible hours as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience recruiting PhD-level talent and researchers

  2. Previous experience managing events, programs or large scale processes
