Facebook LATAM Compliance Manager in Mexico City, Mexico

Facebook is seeking a LATAM Compliance Manager who is passionate about compliance and is eager to work in a highly collaborative environment, supporting the regional Compliance Manager to provide guidance and support to the various internal groups on compliance-related matters, map local compliance risks and oversee Facebook’s relationships with 3rd parties, in order to ensure a coordinated best-in-class regional Compliance structure. The position is a full-time employee and will be based in our Mexico City office.

Required Skills:

  1. Develop and execute compliance program initiatives across LATAM markets, with a focus on Mexico and Colombia

  2. Assist the regional Compliance Manager to conduct risk assessments, aiming to identify compliance issues and develop appropriate risk mitigation measures

  3. Review local compliance approvals requests and triage matters for resolution or escalation

  4. Develop and manage relationships with functional leaders and key stakeholders

  5. Partner with cross functional stakeholders to provide compliance support to the business

  6. Conduct compliance training for employees and third parties

  7. Conduct compliance due diligence on third parties

  8. Monitor business activities for potential compliance risk implications and maintain a current understanding of relevant functional processes

  9. Provide support for compliance policy, process, and tool development and identify opportunities for programmatic improvements

  10. Up to 30% regional travel is required

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 8+ years of experience in Compliance, Legal, Finance or Internal Audit

  2. Extensive experience in compliance related matters, including 3rd party monitoring and due diligence, FCPA and other anticorruption regulations

  3. Fluency in Spanish and English

  4. Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to develop strong working relationships inside and outside the company

  5. Be able to execute in an intense, fast-paced, and highly iterative environment

  6. High degree of professional ethics and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Proven track record of leadership and hands-on experience in compliance for global organizations

  2. Proven operational experience with implementation of compliance program

  3. Experience in delivering live training for large audiences

  4. Skills to effortlessly communicate with the business in a clear and jargon-free fashion

  5. Demonstrate flexibility and ability to work in a highly collaborative and fast-changing environment

  6. Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, highly organized

  7. Fluency in Portuguese
