Come join a diverse and collaborative team of researchers who work directly with product designers and engineers to make the best social platform for Facebook's users. Our work ranges from formative to evaluative, from ethnography to experimentation, and it involves collaboration between qualitative and quantitative researchers. For this position, we are looking for people with skilled in several methods, including interviews, product-focused lab studies, usability and surveys.

This role requires leading UX research through the discovery and design of a new product. This researcher will join a team tasked with creating an innovative new health experience on Facebook.

Required Skills:

  1. Work closely with product and business teams to define and understand a new product space

  2. Conduct formative as well as evaluative research on a new product

  3. Design studies that address both user behavior and attitudes

  4. Manage multiple projects simultaneously

  5. Generate insights that fuel ideation, foster empathy and improve experiences

  6. Conduct research using a wide variety of methods

  7. Work cross-functionally with design, product management, content strategy, engineering and marketing

  8. Partner with engineers, analysts, and other technical roles to create and share research

  9. Communicate results and illustrate suggestions in compelling and creative ways

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. MS/PhD in human-computer interaction, anthropology, sociology, psychology, market research, or a related field

  2. Experience executing hands-on, primary research

  3. 3+ years of experience in applied product research

  4. Prior work related to health

  5. Experience with survey research (questionnaire design, sampling, analysis)

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Familiarity with the field of health

  2. Experience conducting international research

  3. 5+ years of experience in applied product research
