We are looking for candidates that share our passion for tackling complexity head-on. Facebook is seeking a Technical Program Manager with business intelligence experience within the IT Enterprise. The projects we work on support the growth and management of the Facebook Enterprise Data Warehouse and the Global Marketing and Sales teams. This is a full-time position, reporting into the IT Technical Program Management team.

Required Skills:

  1. Manage cross-functional data projects in a matrixed organization supporting a business vertical or a group of business verticals in our Global Marketing and Sales organization.

  2. Provide hands-on project management during all phases of the project lifecycle (analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases) with an emphasis on communication to project sponsors, stakeholders and project teams

  3. Collaborate with technical teams to develop and maintain end-to-end project plans, ensuring on-time delivery. This may include writing requirements, use and test cases as well as support and escalation plans.

  4. Assist individual technical resources to unblock and enable them to focus on what is most impactful to the project and the organization.

  5. Ability to map dependencies and relationships between projects and technologies such as Vertica, Microstrategy, Tableau, and internal FB tools.

  6. Prioritize projects based on impact level and leverage data to drive prioritization decisions. Foster a culture of data driven decision-making.

  7. Establish excellent working relations with all partners with an emphasis on unblocking team members, providing day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for project and tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 3+ years experience program, project, or technical management

  2. 3+ years experience working on infrastructure and data business solution implementation projects with an eye toward business continuity and building efficient and scalable data solutions

  3. 3+ years experience working with technical project management of enterprise data warehousing solutions

  4. 2+ years hands-on experience in SQL or similar languages.

  5. Knowledge of Hive, Vertica, Microstrategy, or Tableau applications

  6. Experience understanding application requirements and translating needs into technical requirements.

  7. Organizational and coordination skills along with multi-tasking capabilities to get things done in a fast-paced environment

  8. Knowledge of Project Management tools and methodologies

  9. Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize workload and roadmaps

  10. Experience in relationship building and collaboration with cross-functional teams

  11. Communication skills and experience working with technical management teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field

  2. Experience working in a 5000+ user environment

  3. Experience with a marketing and sales organization

  4. Advanced knowledge and expertise with SQL, Linux, Oracle and OLAP and data warehousing concepts.

  5. Development experience on large data sets and in at least one scripting language (Python)

  6. Knowledge and direct experience using business intelligence reporting tools. (OBIEE, Business Objects, Cognos, Tableau, MicroStrategy, SSAS Cubes, etc.).
