The Global Vertical Strategy team sets the global vision, defines product priorities, crafts positioning, & develops go-to-market strategies across ten vertical advertiser segments. As the GVS Summer Intern you’ll focus on analyzing vertical trends and using internal & external data in order to answer the most important questions related to our vertical strategies. This position is located in our Menlo Park office.
Work with the GVS vertical leads to build insight-driven vertical strategies
Conduct internal & external analyses to answer critical business questions for the verticals
Manage 1 or 2 strategy projects in collaboration with sales, product, marketing, measurement, & other internal teams
Design and implement reporting that tracks core business metrics and provides actionable insights
Build and maintain a repository of vertical intelligence, insights, & benchmarks and scale them globally
Bachelor’s degree required
Currently enrolled in first year MBA program- Graduation date between December 2017- August 2018
Experience in consulting, media, consumer Internet, or a similar field
Ability to break down complex business problems into projects plans leading to clear, comprehensive recommendations
Direct experience working with large data-sets and demonstrated success convincing others based on data-driven insights
Demonstrated interest in the online advertising space
Track record of operating independently, solving problems creatively, and delivering results in a highly organized manner
Excellent communication skills
Experience working for businesses or on projects outside the United States preferred
Experience using the Facebook, Instagram and Messenger platforms
