Facebook is seeking a Strategic Partner Manager who is passionate about online payments, technology, e-commerce, social media and business strategy. The Core Platform team within Payment & Commerce Partnerships at Facebook is responsible for developing and managing relationships with companies that provide critical payment services for our business lines, as well as partners who enable new commerce and payment experiences on our platform. We work cross-functionally with product, engineering, legal, marketing and operations teams to develop new capabilities, improve user experience, and reduce barriers that prevent people from buying what they want. The position is full-time and based in our office in Menlo Park.
Manage and develop relationship with Facebook’s key payment providers across cards and other payment types
Be one of the company’s subject matter experts on payments
Partner with Product and Engineering teams to identify growth opportunities, solve problems and develop new capabilities to improve our ability to process transactions
Inform, influence, support, and execute our product decisions
Identify new partners and negotiate business and technical terms with them
Partner with Finance, Legal, Compliance, Marketing
Track, analyze, influence, and communicate key metric
8+ years of industry work experience, with at least 5 years direct experience in the payments ecosystem
Industry knowledge of global card not present payment processing
Comfortable working closely with product and engineering, experience within product management or engineering
Experience collaborating and negotiating with external business partners and vendors
Ability to communicate and engage at all levels of partner organizations from C-level to day-to-day operations
Experience with alternative payment methods
Excellent project management ability: capable of leading multiple time-sensitive, cross-functional projects
Strong quantitative abilities and intuition, exceptional analytical skills
Master’s Business Administration (MBA)
