Facebook Software Program Manager in Menlo Park, California

As Software Program Manager, you will be responsible for bringing Oculus products to the world. We're seeking someone to lead programs across all of software, driving the roadmap and schedule for our apps, sdk, computer vision and platform teams. In doing so, you will play a key role in defining the direction of our products. This is a highly cross-functional and collaborative role, and we're seeking a technical leader equally adept at strategy as execution. This position is based at our Menlo Park HQ and will report directly into the head of software.

Required Skills:

  1. Manage cross-functional software programs from end-to-end, covering a range of areas including applications, sdk, computer vision and platform

  2. Develop and manage project plans and ensure on-time delivery

  3. Provide hands-on program management and coaching during analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and post-implementation phases

  4. Work closely with engineering teams to effectively coordinate complex design inter-dependencies

  5. Define and drive the schedule for upcoming products, creating new and improving existing processes

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BS in computer science or electrical engineering, MS.

  2. 5+ years' technical program management experience managing consumer-facing software programs at a web or consumer products company

  3. Prior software or systems engineering experience with experience in coding

  4. Experience building, developing and managing program management teams

    1. Ability to understand product architecture as well as design decisions

    2. Interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills with ability to work in a cross-functionally environment

    3. Organization and delegation skills with ability to own the product roadmap and schedule with a track record of delivering projects.

    4. PMP Certification (PMI)

    5. Experience with consumer products
