Facebook Software Engineer - Social VR in Menlo Park, California

Summary:
As an experienced software engineer working within the Social VR Team at Facebook, you’ll architect and build the social virtual reality experiences that will define the future of online social interaction. You’ll help deliver key products and systems across multiple disciplines. The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer with games/graphics industry background and a passion for virtual reality.

Required Skills:

  1. Participation in strategic implementation planning for proposed Social VR project(s)

  2. Contribution and collaboration in the design of various Social VR projects

  3. Identify technical requirements and assist in project planning of the execution of a variety of Social VR projects across multiple VR platforms

  4. Individual contribution to the development of Social VR projects

  5. Engage with FB teams to understand and utilize FB graph and features within Social VR projects

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field

  2. Demonstrated experience shipping products

  3. Demonstrated experience interfacing with other teams to incorporate their innovations and vice versa

  4. Thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Virtual reality experience (Rift, Vive, GearVR, etc.)

  2. C++ and C# programming experience

  3. Some combination of Windows, Android, and game console programming experience

  4. Unity 3D
