Facebook Software Engineer, Graphics & Rendering in Menlo Park, California
As a Graphics/Rendering Engineer on the Computer Vision team, you will help build simulation tools and interactive experiences for data and algorithm visualization. Ideally, you are an experienced engineer with several years' experience with – and a passion for – Computer Graphics (including 3D modeling, photo-realistic rendering of humans, and real-time rendering).
Responsible for building powerful visual simulation tools for various computer vision problems, including synthetic data generation for machine learning purposes.
Help the computer vision team visualize data, algorithms and prototype the experiences the algorithms enable.
Help deliver an exceptional virtual reality experience by improving performance and quality of our computer vision software through visualization.
Bachelor’s degree or more in Computer Science, Entertainment technology, or related field.
Knowledge in Computer Graphics (photo-realistic and/or real-time rendering, 3D modeling) and tools such as Maya, 3D Studio, Blender, Unity3D and/or UE4.
Knowledge of 3D graphics including geometry, linear algebra, shading and physics simulation.
Understanding of the physics of light (sub-surface scattering, translucent surfaces, refraction).
Parameterization and model creation from high resolution imaging modalities.
Post processing to simulate sensor noise and lens artifacts.
5+ years of experience developing systems in C++, C.
