Facebook Sales Operations Director, Partnerships & Resellers in Menlo Park, California

Facebook is looking for a high caliber business leader to be part of the Global Sales Operations team driving sound decisions, strategic planning and operational improvements across the Facebook teams that work with partners such as marketing partners and resellers and will be supporting the overall partner Ecosystem across Facebook. The role will work across the Global Marketing Solutions group and with cross-functional teams across Facebook and in Global Sales, Human Resources, Legal, Finance and Business Intelligence/IT to build out business plans and operational tactics to drive scalable revenue growth, align partner efforts and create effective partner and reseller programs in the channel ecosystem. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Facebook, interested in advertising, have experience with channel & agency partnerships and is a strategic thinker who can drive for results and able to move fast. This is a full-time position and is located in our Menlo Park office.

Required Skills:

  1. Be the trusted advisor for senior leadership for GMS Partnerships on key business and operational activities primarily related to Facebook’s ecosystem efforts with marketing partners and resellers and as appropriate, drive coordination with agency priorities

  2. Lead and develop a team of Sales Ops professionals helping them achieving their objectives, supporting them through the day to day activities and when required removing barriers. Play the role of a mentor across the team

  3. Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the company and represent the partnership functions with cross-functional teams

  4. Business planning and insights:

  5. Design and drive planning activities with the primary objective of enabling GMS Partnerships leadership to make effective, analytically-driven and strategic operating decisions across all client segments supported by the Global Sales and Small & Medium Business teams

  6. Drive operational reviews and rhythm of the business, leading financial and business analysis including revenue, customer and market analysis

  7. Provide timely and accurate forecasts and clear visibility on revenue performance and any other KPI required by leadership to manage these businesses

  8. Develop a deep understanding of the regional market dynamics and implications for Facebook’s strategy in each market

  9. Design tools and processes in support of these businesses

  10. Strategic projects and initiatives:

  11. Identify, scope and drive critical projects and initiatives for the Partnerships, Reseller and Global Sales and Small & Medium Business teams, partnering with cross-functional teams across the organization

  12. Lead/facilitate cross-functional teams to get work done, driving recommendations through to implementation

  13. Drive operational excellence in the sales organization through identification and execution of opportunity areas that create efficiency, remove obstacles, or create improved processes and approaches to the business

  14. In conjunction with business owners, provide guidance in developing strategic partnerships and reseller relationships assessing viability and return on investment

  15. Challenge regional decisions and ensure they are in line with a consistent, global approach

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS required

  2. 16+ years of work experience required in Management Strategy Consulting or Sales Planning & Operations, or 14+ years with MBA/Master's degree

  3. Demonstrated problem solving ability with experience providing business insights and recommendations from data sets

  4. Demonstrated ability to explain concepts to general audiences

  5. Excel skills required

  6. Prior people management experience

  7. Experience influencing individuals at the C-Suite or Executive level and driving strategic business decisions

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA or graduate degree in an analytical field

  2. Prior experience with online advertising

  3. Experience working with or in support of many different business units

  4. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment

  5. Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
