Facebook Quality Reliability Engineer - Compute & Storage in Menlo Park, California

Summary:

Facebook is seeking a Quality Reliability Engineer responsible for working with Facebook’s global manufacturing partners to track quality and reliability metrics and implement a world class Quality Management System for Open Compute servers and storage products that power the Facebook social network. This is a full-time role based at our office in Menlo Park, CA.

Required Skills:

  1. Utilization of Quality and Reliability statistics to diagnose and correct improper quality control practices at Facebook manufacturing partners.

  2. Early engagement on new designs to define quality and reliability requirements.

  3. Develop statistics that model failure prediction with appropriate alarms and early warning signals.

  4. Partner with FB Data Centers to define key metrics and monitors.

  5. Quality Management System support and implementation.

  6. Familiar with Compute and Storage system assembly and test processes. Able to take a hands-on approach with FB manufacturing partners

  7. Supplier Audits and supplier quality management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BS in Electrical or Computer Science, or equivalent experience with Reliability Engineering.

  2. ASQ Certified as a Quality Engineer, Six Sigma, or Reliability Engineer.

  3. 5+ years experience related to quality and reliability systems, metrics, and tools.

  4. Able to perform design of experiment and drive root cause analysis based on data analysis.

  5. Knowledge in control charts and reliability metrics with complete understanding of the modeling methods.

  6. Experience with board & system level manufacturing tests for products.

  7. Knowledge in JMP, MiniTab or other SAS tools.

  8. Communication skills

  9. 10% International travel may be required.
