Facebook is seeking a Project Specialist to join our Data Center Connectivity (DCC) team. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our innovative services are delivered and our rapidly scaling infrastructure operates. The DCC team lights up Facebook’s global data centers, delivering the physical infrastructure that connects the world to the videos, feeds, and other information stored on Facebook’s server banks. The DCC Project Specialist will help develop, maintain, and execute key processes, tools, and relationships critical for the successful completion of programs. The Project Specialist is a key part of project execution through hands-on interactions with internal and external stakeholders. This is a full-time position based at the Menlo Park campus – Facebook HQ.

Required Skills:

  1. Coordinate schedules and deliverable due dates – design, procurement, execution, and closeout – working with Program Managers and Project Engineers in the field

  2. Coordinate project meetings and document review cycles

  3. Draft project documents and create project documents from templates

  4. Oversee the collection of quarterly/monthly/weekly data for input in Program Management tools and reports

  5. Work with the DCC team to deliver project reporting templates and tools

  6. Work with the field and procurement team for placing orders, creating requisitions, obtaining internal approvals, overseeing change orders, and assisting during project close-outs

  7. Ensure orders adhere to supplier agreements and contracts

  8. Assist field team with escalating non-conformance reports to Program Management

  9. Liaise between Sourcing, the DCC field team, and Program Management to ensure alignment with procurement strategies, processes, policies, and best practices

  10. Assist Program Managers, Operations Managers, Project Engineers, Accounts Payable, and Suppliers to resolve payment holds and defective invoices in a timely manner

  11. Coordinate internal and external meetings, maintaining accurate meeting minutes and action item

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 2+ years’ experience in project coordination or construction environment

  2. Ability to work effectively within deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic environment

  3. Organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-up

  4. Experience in budgeting processes

  5. Proven skills working effectively with internal and external stakeholders

  6. Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

  7. Ability to flourish in an environment of fast growth and ambiguity

  8. Ability to interact with employees at all levels, develop cooperative working partnerships, and contribute to teams

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree
