We’re looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager, passionate about online communities, to join us on the Groups product marketing team. Over 1 billion people use Facebook Groups every month to build communities and meaningful connections with others around the things they care about. Our groups product marketing team is responsible for global, end-to-end marketing of the products designed to help consumers, group admins, and businesses build and connect through these communities. You will be responsible for understanding target audiences, influencing product strategy through insights, and driving go-to-market planning and execution for product launches. The ideal candidate for this role will have prior experience working with and strong opinions on online presences for small, medium, and large business audiences. Help businesses, brands, and non-profits use Facebook Groups to build thriving online communities and champion the needs of these users to prioritize product development.
Develop core product positioning and messaging for key products and features, considering value proposition, target audience, competitive landscape, and other factors.
Leverage quantitative and qualitative insights from research and analysis to influence product strategy and inform go-to-market plans.
Create the go-to-market plan, collaborating closely with product, partnerships, PR, and other cross-functional teams to determine effective launch strategy and communication to best drive awareness, engagement, and adoption.
Plan and lead cross-functional efforts to drive successful product beta programs and launches.
Author and review partner-facing communication, such as blog posts.
6+ years of professional experience with at least 3 years working in a product marketing or product management capacity (work closely with sales and engineering)
Experience in analytic fields such as strategy consulting, brand management/online marketing, ad operations, investment banking/venture capital and/or analytics
Experience working in a cross-functional capacity within a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
