Facebook is looking for a product marketing manager, passionate about online communities, to join us on the Groups product marketing team to build our narrative and bring community safety products to market. This role will be responsible for bringing new products to market and for delivering marketing campaigns that educate community leaders and consumers to raise awareness and drive adoption. A successful candidate must be experienced with policy and consumer marketing. This is a full-time position based at our headquarters in Menlo Park.

Required Skills:

  1. Collaborate with internal teams to build and deliver proactive narratives and integrated marketing moments around the tools we have in place to keep consumers safe and that empower admins to create supportive communities online.

  2. While this is a consumer marketing role, you will also need to understand the multiple players in the ecosystem across consumers, policy makers, news media, and advocates to ensure the consumer work is contextually relevant.

  3. Lead analysis and diagnosis around key opportunity areas across markets and consumer segments

  4. Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams (including PR, product, and policy stakeholders) to deliver to create integrated marketing moments and a cohesive consumer narrative

  5. Plan and lead successful marketing campaigns, educating people in key markets on Facebook's POV on safety and the products and tools we have in place to keep consumers safe and secure

  6. Tackle complex and ambiguous problems with a strategic mindset, create thoughtful recommendations and action plans for solving those problems.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree

  2. 7+ years of experience in product marketing, brand marketing, public affairs or public policy

  3. Experience in the internet or consumer technology industry

  4. Experience in marketing and sensitive product announcements

  5. Experience in brand work and campaign development

  6. Analytical and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MBA or MA in Public Policy

  2. Start-up experience

  3. Understanding of web and mobile technologies and the industry landscape

  4. Experience translating complex topics into simple and intuitive communications
