With Facebook Events, our mission is to help people connect and spend time together in the real world. We're looking for a growth and analytically focused Consumer Product Marketing Manager who is passionate about building community through Facebook Events and helping people connect to Events that matter to them. The role would cover multiple facets of the events ecosystem – from helping event organizers build awareness, sell tickets and drive attendance to their events on Facebook to getting people to discover, share, and attend events with friends. The right person is a self-starter who loves working alongside cross-functional teams to develop consumer focused initiatives that helps drive product adoption. They would be responsible for thoughtfully understanding consumer needs, identifying market opportunities through research and analytics, developing best in class marketing programs, and driving measurable results. The ideal person has an analytical mindset, excellent marketing intuition, and thrives on crafting and executing compelling marketing programs. This is a full-time position based at our headquarters in Menlo Park.
Inspire consumers & event creators globally to use Facebook Events through seamless product launches and direct-to-consumer marketing with impactful, scaled results.
Develop actionable research and data-driven insights to inform product and marketing strategy.
Develop strong messaging and narratives, authoring and managing consumer facing communication such as blog posts, best practices, guides, keynote presentations.
Create and execute on launch and evergreen marketing strategies and campaigns that drive consumer awareness and adoption of the Events product.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (including Product, Research, PR, Design, engineering stakeholders and more) to deliver world-class product marketing programs.
BA/BS degree required
7+ years professional experience in a corporate or startup environment
4+ years working in a Consumer Product Marketing capacity (partnered with product management and/or engineering to represent market requirements and with relevant cross-functional partners to support product launches)
Experience partnering with product & cross functional teams to identify and bring to market solutions with consumer benefit.
Experience problem solving and tackling problems with a creative mindset, creating recommendations and action plans for solving those problems.
Project management skills, with experience developing and executing marketing strategy.
Successful track record of planning and rolling out large-scale/global marketing campaigns
