Facebook Product Manager (Growth Team) in Menlo Park, California

Summary:

Oculus is building out a product growth team to help us bring high-quality virtual reality (VR) into the mainstream. As a Product Manager on this team, you’ll be responsible for growing the user base of Oculus Rift and a suite of other Oculus products, as part of our company’s efforts to make Oculus the world’s leading VR platform. We are seeking an entrepreneurial product manager who can pair quantitative insights with qualitative findings to expand the reach of Oculus’ products. Whether you are understanding and identifying VR enthusiasts around the world, refining our approach to marketing and messaging, or improving the critical pain points in the purchase journey -- we expect this role to be driven by curiosity, creativity and a sharp focus on results and have a passion for Virtual Reality. We expect this product manager to work with data scientists, designers, engineers, researchers and marketers on a daily basis to build user-focused features. This role will be expected to track key performance indicators, and report results to leaders across the company on a regular cadence. The ideal candidate will have significant experience working on software products, in addition to a strong analytical background. This position is full-time and based at our Menlo Park office.

Required Skills:

  6. Drive projects that will directly increase conversion rates and overall Oculus user growth and engagement.For example:

  7. Build custom targeting tools on Facebook that help us find potential Oculus customers and reach out to them in timely, personal, and contextual ways

  8. Create new placements and notifications across the Facebook family to promote the Oculus lifestyle and products

  9. Drive viral spread through invites and similar mechanisms

  10. Blend offline usage data with online marketing data to directly attribute online to offline impact of in-product marketing campaigns

  11. Work both on core Facebook and Oculus products like feed, notifications, and mobile, and offsite marketing channels like SEO, SEM, and email

  12. Use tools like Hadoop/Hive, Oracle, ETL, R, PHP, Python, Excel, MicroStrategy, and many other internal tools to work efficiently at scale

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BS/MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, Stats, or equivalent experience

  2. SQL or scripting skills with the ability to learn both

  3. Ability to process and analyze data sets, and interpret them to make business decisions

  4. Communication and presentation skills

  5. Organization skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience developing social products, technologies and platforms
