The mission of Internet.org is to bring Internet access to the two thirds of the world who are not yet connected. With Express Wi-Fi, we’re working with carriers, internet service providers, and local entrepreneurs to help expand connectivity to underserved locations around the world. We’re currently live in India, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, and Indonesia, and will be expanding elsewhere in Africa as well as in Asia Pacific and Latin America soon. Facebook Product Managers work with teams of engineers, designers and product analysts to build products. We are looking for extremely entrepreneurial Product Managers to help innovate and execute product initiatives across the company. As the Lifecycle Tools Product Manager on the Express Wi-Fi team, you will be a key player in the process of defining, designing and executing the tools that help Express Wi-Fi partners plan, deploy, commission, and operate large scale Wi-Fi networks. You will focus on the end-to-end lifecycle of partner operations, as well as the individual lifecycle of deployments and hotspots themselves. Your team will develop tools for network planning, deployment and hotspot pipeline management, ticketing, configuration tools, monitoring and workflow tools, etc. You will work with our engineering teams in Menlo Park and Tel Aviv. This position is full-time and based in our Menlo Park or Seattle office. Travel to field deployments as well as Facebook engineering offices in Tel Aviv will be common.

Required Skills:

  1. Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products for the end-to-end lifecycle of Wi-Fi network design, deployment, operation, and support.

  2. Establish shared vision across the company by building consensus on priorities leading to product execution

  3. Drive product development with a team of world-class engineers and designers

  4. Integrate vendor and partner market studies, usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction

  5. Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products

  6. Understand Facebook’s strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized best in the industry

  7. Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm

  8. Contribute to the overall maturity of deployment and other processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Experience (subject matter expert) in deploying Wi-Fi and other communications networks in emerging markets.

  2. 10+ years product management or CTO experience, including delivery of entire products start to finish

  3. Communication and presentation skills

  4. Organizational and analytical skills

  5. Technical knowledge of network architecture, OSI network model, TCP/IP, Wi-Fi

  6. Technical knowledge of A/A/A schemes, including RADIUS, 802.1X, etc., and carrier-grade Wi-Fi technologies such as EAP-SIM and EAP-TTLS.

  7. Understanding of the technical architecture of highly scalable web applications and/or media products

  8. Experience developing network-focused platforms, management tools, or hardware products

  9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, start-up environment

  10. Languages: English

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience developing consumer, e-commerce and/or ad related products

  2. Experience expanding in emerging markets
