As part of Facebook’s Global Public Policy organization, the Policy Programs team is responsible for designing, developing and launching global programs and campaigns that leverage the extraordinary reach of Facebook to promote economic growth, social good, civic engagement, beneficial uses of data, and speech that fosters tolerance and understanding.
We are looking for a superb Policy Programs Manager who can build partnerships with strategic constituents and deliver high impact programs and campaigns. You should have a clear understanding of the policy challenges Facebook faces and ambitious and creative ideas about how to address them. You must be a strategic thinker and hands-on collaborator who has deep knowledge of program management and execution, experience with government, non-profit or cross-sector partnerships, and the ability to rally colleagues from across the company to scale, run & measure programs and investments. You should also be highly organized and impact orientated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Identify and analyze policy issues affecting Facebook globally and build proactive strategies
Work directly with the public policy teams in country, the regional policy programs teams and the product policy team to design and execute programs that build strategic relationships with policy makers, civil society and academics, and also provide cross-functional value to teams across the company
Work with political bodies, policy makers and non-governmental organizations on defining and deploying proactive approaches to develop innovation policy friendly environment
Build & manage meaningful relationships with key organizations
Represent Facebook in meetings with key stakeholders
Collaborate and ensure consistency in approach to Facebook's policy initiatives
Coordinate internal and external players across countries and time zones, keeping all informed of progress and deadlines
Build creative partnerships with key opinion leaders, small business organizations and advocacy groups to engage them in our collective efforts to support local communities
Work with the marketing & communication teams to manage the creation of communications, educational and marketing materials to support our programs and campaigns
10+ years of work experience in field of public policy programs or political communications
5+ years working with political systems and institutions as well as policy, politics and communications
Experience with analytical approach to policy issues
Ability to drive and manage multiple projects and campaigns simultaneously
Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Ability to think, plan, and execute
Experience in technology and related policy issues
Willingness to travel
