Facebook Operations Program Manager - Diversity (Infra Latino Program) in Menlo Park, California

Summary:

The IDC Business Support team designs, implements and continuously evolves business processes to support all aspects of the Infrastructure Data Center teams. Our team’s mission is to combine leading-edge business strategy and program management to develop operational efficiencies and effective solutions that help keep us nimble and one step ahead. Specifically, in this role you will be responsible for building and operationalizing Latino efforts for the Infra business at Facebook. You will work closely with leaders within Infra, Data Centers, HR, Diversity, Compliance, Legal and the greater external community to devise optimized solutions for business problems and own delivery from concept to creation. This position will be located in Menlo Park, CA with some domestic and international travel.

Required Skills:

  1. Develop and sustain a program for outreach and engagement of internal and external underrepresented communities to improve cultural awareness, increase inclusivity, and increase representation among targeted groups in the pipeline of potential candidates available for opportunities at Facebook

  2. Manage expectations of all interested parties: define clear program roadmaps with key deliverables and milestone dates, maintain program wiki pages, provide frequent program updates, and identify and communicate risks and adjustments to the overall program

  3. Increase overall engagement by developing opportunities that promote diversity of thought and build active participation throughout the Infra organization

  4. Work with Infra Recruiting Partners to implement sourcing strategies including internet recruiting, referral generation, college partnerships and networking to increase qualified pool of candidates in targeted groups

  5. Quantify pain points around Infra challenges and prioritize resources in areas that will deliver the greatest impact (i.e. ensuring equitable distribution of resources and creating a sustainable reporting methodology)

  6. Conduct business process re-engineering workshops to innovate and drive internal process improvements across multiple teams, monitoring risk and change management considerations

  7. Partner with Infra leadership to create internal awareness programs bringing the broader organization together toward the goal of increased retention metrics surrounding Latino representation in Infra

  8. Establish Infra-wide accountability metrics (scorecards/audits/reporting tools) to track progress on key metrics & goals

  9. Build a virtual community across Infra while continuing to engage and share learnings with other diversity teams at Facebook

  10. Establish and foster strong working relationships with various stakeholders and teams, ensuring that the programs foster an environment of a broader ally community

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or another STEM related field

  2. 8+ years’ industry project management experience

  3. 10+ years of experience, proven project management, interpersonal, and communication skills, with high attention to detail, demonstrated track record of delivering business value, and leading organizational change

  4. Interpersonal skills, including relationship building and “roll-up the sleeves” type of collaboration within a diverse, global, cross-functional team in order to accomplish all necessary tasks

  5. Analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills with focus under pressure (in an ever-changing environment)

  6. Experience in developing and leading inclusive affinity initiatives in large, cross-functional teams

  7. Must have understanding of operational challenges and solving problems in various areas of business

  8. Demonstrated ability to adapt, learn new skillsets, and be able to create understanding of operational challenges 

  9. Independent in examination and analysis, along with being consensus-building and results-oriented

  10. Must be proactive with proven ability to execute on multiple tasks simultaneously 

  11. Communication skills and demonstrated attention to detail 

  12. Organizational and time management skills
