This individual will be a core member of the Instagram Communications team, focusing on developing and implementing programming around Instagram's culture and company mission for Instagram employees. The successful candidate will work closely with the Corporate Communications, Senior Leadership and Human Resources teams. Candidates must have extensive experience developing internal communications strategies and initiatives; building and fostering relationships across business functions and across geographic locations; and developing creative, innovative programming around complex, multi-dimensional topics. Candidates should be excellent writers, strategic and creative thinkers, able to successfully drive short-term and long-term initiatives. The position is full-time and is located at our headquarters in Menlo Park, California.
Develop and drive proactive communications efforts and programming (e.g. weekly company Q&A, All Hands) to help employees understand how their work fits into the company's mission, culture and goals.
Provide counsel on messaging and positioning, and influence stakeholders as needed to ensure communications are compelling and aligned to the needs of the employees and company goals.
Partner with human resources to develop coherent programs and messaging around culture, initiatives like new employee on-boarding, and recruiting.
Build partnerships with key internal stakeholders such as Engineering, Product, Marketing, Policy and other teams to develop and support company-wide plans and initiatives
Work closely with the broader communications group within FB Inc. to represent Instagram in cross-functional projects.
Ability to lead, manage and execute multiple projects in a fast-paced, nimble environment
Can thrive in both tactical work and strategic work at the same time
Ensure consistency between internal and external communications
Minimum bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, or other related field
7+ years professional experience in communications or related field
Proven track record developing and executing employee communications plans at hyper growth companies
Post-graduate or professional degree
Corporate experience in the internet technology industry
Experience in branding and campaign experience, including development of internal communication programs that include conceptualizing and creating both written and visual (presentations/video) material
