Summary:

Facebook is seeking an experienced individual to join our Data Center Construction team as a Technical Cost Analyst. The Technical Cost Analyst must be experienced in cost reporting on active and highly complex construction projects. A successful candidate must be detail oriented, have experience maintaining cost databases, and be able to deliver reports timely and accurately. Our data centers are the foundation upon which our software operates with efficient ease. Building and operating data centers the "right" way from the day they go live is synonymous with ensuring capacity availability and capital conservatism. The Technical Cost Analyst will provide the vital cost information needed for project managers to take positive action during the construction phase of a data center. The responsibilities of this role will help gather cost data and input it into our electronic database as well as being able to generate reports for monthly meetings and as requested by site management. They will also be in charge of training others how to use our internal cost management systems as needed. This position is for a full-time employee and located in our Menlo Park offices. However, the project locations will be spread across United States and the world. Managing stakeholders located across all these regions and time zones is a significant challenge and is key to the success of the projects.

Required Skills:

  1. Manage historical cost databases by inputting and tracking budgets, commitments, and invoices in an electronic cost database (E-Builder and Oracle)

  2. Run reports for Project Management for monthly meetings and others as requested in Oracle or E-Builder

  3. Reconcile transactions between E-Builder and Oracle to ensure both systems match

  4. Work with accounting and payment processing teams to track the status of vendor payments, track payment processes to ensure overall improvements.

  5. Track the status of PO’s and close out when needed

  6. Assist with financial reconciliations between Finance, Accounting, and Planning organizations.

  7. Work cross functionally with key partner teams to improve and develop business tools

  8. Train others in the use of our electronic cost databases (E-Builder and Oracle)

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree

    1. 5 plus years of experience in cost analysis within the construction industry

    2. At least 3 years of database administration, data entry, or data analysis experience

    3. Ability to communicate cost details from multiple construction sites to project managers

    4. Demonstrated Excel and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Prior experience in data centers, networking, cloud industry or related field
