Facebook Graphics Software Engineering Lead in Menlo Park, California

As a software engineering lead for graphics technology on the core systems software engineering team, you will be responsible for innovating on graphics technology for standalone virtual reality products by working on end-to-end graphics software, from user-facing APIs to drivers. Your responsibilities will include end-to-end graphics performance, working with internal teams to drive graphics features into our SDKs, and working with vendors to get required driver support. Design and build new tools to encourage the development of high quality VR experiences, such as graphics profilers and debugging tools.

Required Skills:

  1. Design, implement, and maintain the graphics technology stack for standalone virtual reality products

  2. Drive performance requirements and maintain graphics performance for VR experiences

  3. Work with internal hardware and software teams to establish product requirements related to graphics technology

  4. Work with vendors on necessary hardware and driver support

  5. Develop innovative graphics profiling and debugging tools for VR

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of programming experience in C/C++

  2. 5+ years of experience with operating systems, compilers, and/or embedded systems

  3. Experience developing embedded or desktop computing graphics technology (APIs, drivers, real time graphics engines)
