Facebook FPGA Design Engineer in Menlo Park, California

Summary:

As an FPGA Design Engineer at Oculus, you will work with a world-class group of researchers and engineers, and use your FPGA and digital design skills to implement and contribute to development and optimization of state of the art vision and sensing algorithm. You will also support the Digital Silicon Architects developing and implementing the next generation custom and semi-custom mixed signal ICs to drive our industry leading virtual and augmented reality systems.

Required Skills:

  1. Work with the architects to implement algorithms as RTL code

  2. Develop and maintain FPGA prototyping hardware, RTL, FW

  3. Perform FPGA Synthesis, Timing closure, and bit file generation

  4. Perform FPGA lab bring-up and debug

  5. Assist with Algorithm analysis, verification and improvement

  6. Contribute to ASIC digital architecture, design and verification

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of experience as an FPGA Design Engineer

  2. Experience in FPGA board design and board bring-up

  3. Experience in RTL coding and FPGA synthesis

  4. Experience in lab bring-up and FPGA debug tools

  5. Ability to communicate in English

  6. BS EE/CS or equivalent experience in relevant areas

  7. Chipscope, or equivalent debugging tools experience

  8. Lab instrument experience. Logic Analyzer, Scopes, meters, etc.
