Facebook’s Global Employment Brand Team is seeking a Designer to bring ideas to life in new and inspiring ways. In this role, you'll design creative assets that promote Facebook as a great place to work and authentically communicate our unique culture. The Designer will work on visual and interactive design, iconography, specifications and marketing communications. This individual will design candidate-facing products, communications and brand campaigns across platforms, including recruiting events and tradeshows design, to communicate and reinforce the Facebook brand. The right candidate can tell compelling and emotive stories through design. He/she has a strong point of view and it shows in his/her communications and work. When this individual decides to craft something, he/she works in a collaborative mindset and can bring concepts and ideas to life with a self-directed approach. Facebook is fast-paced, our Designer should be prepared to dive head first into a vast array of projects. This person will have autonomy to work independently from sketch to ship, while balancing collaborative projects with a cross-functional team of brand and events managers, designers, and video producers.

Required Skills:

  1. Define problems and develop design solutions

  2. Communicate your vision using mock-ups, user flow maps, wireframes, and prototypes

  3. Design for mobile and Web, tradeshow and recruiting events, marketing and brand communications

  4. Communicate and sell your concepts and designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders. You can influence peers and managers and build consensus, while dealing with ambiguity

  5. Design independently on original concepts, manage projects and tasks efficiently

  6. Grow team knowledge of best-in-practice design trends

  7. Influence and maintain style guidelines for Facebook's employment brand

  8. Collaborate and partner with brand and event managers, designers, recruiters, and videographers

  9. Work closely with stakeholders to implement a cohesive visual brand, style, voice, and tone

  10. Work closely with developers, engineers, project managers, and CMS admins to ensure a successful hand-off and pixel perfect implementation and QA

  11. Execute in a fast-paced and highly fluid environment

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Minimum 5 years of design experience

  2. 3+ years of creative agency or internal design team experience

  3. 2+ years experience designing for brand and product

  4. Portfolio available online that showcases visual and technical solutions across multiple design challenges (applications submitted without a portfolio will not be considered)

  5. Experience designing for Web, responsive and mobile

  6. Experience designing for trade show events

  7. Knowledgeable in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign

  8. Experience and knowledge in all marketing mediums: Social, web, print, experiential and event

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Strong understanding of UI/UX

  2. Understand basic content strategy

  3. History of self-initiated projects

  4. Pixel-perfect attention to detail

  5. Ability to maintain high design standards in a lean, fast-paced environment

  6. Product Design Experience

  7. Working experience with HTML/CSS/JS

  8. Animation and motion graphics design experience
