Facebook Design Program Manager in Menlo Park, California
Facebook was built to help people connect and share, and over the last decade our tools have played a critical part in changing how people around the world communicate with one another. With over a billion people using the service and more than fifty offices around the globe, a career at Facebook offers countless ways to make an impact in a fast growing organization.
Facebook is looking for an experienced Design Program Manager (DPM) to establish process and guide the production pipeline associated with Facebook’s internal Art & Animation team. The DPM role at Facebook requires someone who is self-directed, comfortable with ambiguity, and experienced enough to strike the right balance between getting things done without being too heavy-handed about it. A sense of humor and positive attitude are key. Having a background in art curation and/or art direction is a plus. As an Art & Animation DPM, you will be part of the Product Design team and you will utilize your vast understanding of art and animation to provide valuable support to products in development. Candidates will cultivate relationships with a broad range of independent artists and work directly with the Art & Animation team to operationalize the program, both internally and externally. Candidates must have strong organization and communication skills. The role requires detailed project management and production oversight, as well as resource management for a multitude of projects on parallel timelines. The DPM position involves extensive collaboration and partnership with members of Facebook's Product Design, Legal, Finance, IT and Procurement teams. The ideal candidate is able to facilitate our teams' best work by anticipating program issues and solving them, connecting resources to design needs, and removing all barriers to doing great work. This position is full-time, based in Menlo Park and requires a background in cross-functional collaboration and/or production.
