Facebook seeks an experienced Media Manager who is knowledgeable and passionate about the Facebook brand and its consumer and developer products to join its Communications Planning team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with media and analytics across various markets, ensuring the success of marketing campaigns across a number of different capacities. The ideal candidate has a relentless focus on establishing a foundation for new teams, mentoring people through new situations. She or he must have the ability to partner with cross-functional teams within the organization to establish alignment, best practices, and opportunities for collaboration. Excellent analytical and communication skills and comfort with ambiguity are a must. The successful candidate must have a track record of driving marketing objectives with extensive experience across media channels with a focus on the Facebook advertising platform. This is a full-time position based at our headquarters in Menlo Park.

Required Skills:

  1. Develop measurable media communication plans for our consumer-facing brand and product campaigns, leveraging a wide variety of different channels digital and traditional

  2. Liaise with external media agencies as needed to represent and collaborate on media planning and execution around the globe

  3. Work cross functionally with the wider team to ensure seamless delivery of creative messaging into the world

  4. Track and optimize campaigns then provide and final campaign analysis

  5. Being an internal consulting resource on media specific information

  6. Create Target Audience recommendations,

  7. Oversee, author and/or constructively edit and review all media documents (timelines, POVs, plans, agreements, memos, and correspondence from within and outside our team and assorted agencies)

  8. Managing the scheduling, posting, tracking and compiling of weekly performance reports

  9. Ensure key information is provided to team in a timely manner including any agency partner issues, production issues, vendor issues, etc.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years experience in a media-planning role at an agency or within a client organization

  2. Knowledge of current trends and innovation in media, tracking, analytics and research

  3. Experience of working in a fast paced ambiguous environment

  4. Experience working on high visibility consumer and/or tech brands developing and executing multimedia campaigns

  5. Knowledge of MRI, Comscore, Nielsen

  6. Familiar with Facebook’s Advertising Solutions and Tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with Data and SQL
