Facebook is seeking a Consumer Communications Manager to support our efforts in driving awareness and excitement for Design at Facebook. This person will work closely with designers, researchers, and content strategist on various product launches and proactive communications. This role will also support the team with external speaking and presentation requests. Candidates should have an interest in design, demonstrate an ability to work cross functionally, and have excellent media relations and organizational skills. The position is located at our headquarters in Menlo Park, California.
Cross-functional efforts: Work closely with various Facebook teams and external PR agencies to assist with proactive and reactive communications campaigns
Project management: Create effective processes for managing internal speaking requests and content reviews
Media relations: Build relationships and engage with press, bloggers, and influencers from a range our outlets (design, consumer, tech and more)
Work autonomously and as part of a cross-functional team in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
Minimum bachelor’s degree
7+ years of professional experience in communications and/or journalism
Experience working with consumer, technology, and business media
Experience with product launches and strategic communications initiatives
Experience working cross functionally with marketing, design and product partners
