Facebook is seeking a seasoned tax professional to join its tax team responsible for managing business transactional tax matters and supporting the growth and expansion of Facebook product offerings and infrastructure globally. The position will be based in Menlo Park, California, and will work closely with members of the US and international tax teams, accounting and other Finance functions across the company. The position will report to our Director of Tax based in Menlo Park, California.
Build strong working relationships and scale with the growth of business teams to ensure integration with various business functions, bring awareness to the business and support new business initiatives
Embed with product management organizations located in the U.S. and work closely with platform and product engineering teams and provide tax due diligence in supporting end-to-end full life cycle of product design, testing, launch, tax reporting/accounting and compliance
Together with international tax, indirect tax, trade & customs team, work closely with various functions within the infrastructure organization to ensure full tax integration
Work with finance team to implement and improve end-to-end tax process and procedures to mitigate risks
Provide day-to-day operational guidance to cross-functional finance and business teams’ inquiries
Work with internal policy team and external advisors supporting indirect tax policy initiatives
Support Indirect Tax team with indirect tax audits globally
10+ years of relevant work experience in tax or related field
Bachelors degree in law, accounting, economics or related field
Combination of industry and consulting experience
Experience with hardware, consumer product, or media industry
Communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate tax matters to all levels of business organizations
Ability to work with and in a cross-functional team
International and US travel is required
- Post-graduate degree in tax or similar field
