Facebook Business Operations Associate, Oculus Hardware & Sales Planning in Menlo Park, California

Facebook is seeking a highly quantitative, driven, and creative Business Operations Associate to focus on Oculus Hardware & Sales Planning.  This position will require cross-functional coordination across a number of groups, with an emphasis on partnering with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain. The successful candidate will combine strategic planning and decision making with deep data analytics and insights. The ideal candidate will be passionate about Oculus and virtual reality, have a demonstrated interest in data and technology, work well independently, and be highly analytical. This role will challenge the candidate to understand and impact many facets of hardware business strategy, including sales planning, financial forecasting, international pricing, trade marketing, and sales analytics.

Required Skills:

  1. Forecast and track financial performance of the hardware sales business

  2. Drive development of the demand plan in conjunction with Sales & Marketing

  3. Partner with Supply Chain & Operations to impact production and launch decisions

  4. Analyze retailer data to generate actionable insights about store-level sales trends

  5. Evaluate promotional programs, set international pricing, and assess new markets for growth

  6. Present outcomes at reviews with business leaders across Facebook, including the Oculus executive team and members of Facebook Finance such as the CFO

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. B.S. or M.S. in business-related or quantitative field (Economics, Finance, Math, Engineering, or similar discipline)

  2. 3+ years of experience in business strategy, finance, analytics or sales planning

  3. Experience with Excel & PowerPoint

    1. Ability to problem solve individually or in a group setting and understand financial drivers of the business

    2. Ability to design, lead and execute analysis and to communicate insights

    3. Ability to shift priorities, while maintaining organization and control

    4. Communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience in investment banking or strategy consulting with a focus on technology

  2. Experience in SQL/Tableau
