Summary:
Facebook is seeking a Business Analyst with strong experience in quantitative analysis to help develop and maintain an analytical framework that will drive all aspects of compensation at Facebook. This full-time position is located in our Menlo Park office.

Required Skills:

  1. Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and help inform, influence, support, and execute our business decisions

  2. Participate in the research for, and ongoing development and administration of a compensation program that matches Facebook’s needs

  3. Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics and monitor the integrity and validity of the data reported

  4. Obtain a thorough understanding of our data sources and collection methods

  5. Develop compensation models and conduct statistical analysis

  6. Analyze trends in compensation and build intelligence through reporting

  7. Work with large amounts of data and build tools to streamline the process

Experience:

  1. BS/BA in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science

  2. 3 + years of experience in investment banking, consulting, finance, compensation, or a similarly applicable field

    1. Experience in Excel, including experience building analyses and models

    2. Knowledge of VBA, especially as it relates to Excel and its object model, or previous programming/scripting experience and a strong willingness to learn

    3. Demonstrated project management skills

    4. Strong willingness to contribute to a small, leveraged team and the desire to go the extra mile for internal customers

    5. Basic knowledge of relational databases and SQL

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BS/BA in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or Computer Science

  2. 3 + years of experience in investment banking, consulting, finance, compensation, or a similarly applicable field

  3. Experience in Excel, including experience building analyses and models

  4. Knowledge of VBA, especially as it relates to Excel and its object model, or previous programming/scripting experience

  5. Project management experience

  6. Knowledge in relational databases and SQL
