Facebook seeks a highly motivated, team player to serve as Associate General Counsel - Product and Privacy. The position will focus on product review and requires application of complex and evolving legal frameworks to new and innovative services. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and to work on novel issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment. This position is based in Menlo Park.
Review global products, features and initiatives to assess legal risk across multiple jurisdictions
Provide product, engineering, and other business teams with practical counseling across many subject areas, including mobile and platform services, to help ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations, consumer protection laws, and other legal requirements
Coordinate with public policy, marketing, and communications colleagues on multi-disciplinary issues
JD with membership in at least one state bar
6+ years of relevant legal experience, with in-house and/or privacy experience
Experience working with mobile, application development, social networking, machine learning, or other Internet technologies
Ability to work on many different projects at once
Ability to work in a team with others to get the job done
Experience providing nuanced and practical counseling to internet companies with products and services offered to consumers, with international experience
- Technology litigation experience
