Summary:

As a 3D artist at Facebook, you'll be working with a talented group of industry professionals to build world-class creative with cutting-edge technologies for AR (augmented reality) on mobile environments. Our creative teams are focused on creating content that invites users to engage in immersive, real-time experiences for capturing the everyday. If you're excited about forging into new territory, creating industry-leading art in a variety of styles and genres, and working with the mightiest in the industry, Facebook may be the home for you. This position is full-time and based in Menlo Park, CA.

Required Skills:

  1. 3D modeling and animation

  2. Partner with the other creative team members to deliver high- and low-poly 3D models for mobile platforms (iOS and Android)

  3. Assist in creating high quality 3D and 2D art content for internal prototypes

  4. Work with product design and machine learning teams to develop visuals for in-app experiences

  5. Create textures in various styles, from cartoon to photorealism

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 2+ years of experience in advertising, entertainment, gaming or tech industry

  2. Experience modeling, rigging, texturing using Maya or other 3D art package

  3. A link to an online portfolio showcasing relevant work (Include link on your resume)

  4. Portfolio includes projects in 3D and 2D concepts, produced for real-time (low-poly models across various settings)

  5. Understanding of real-time pipelines and constraints

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Projects demonstrate the experience working in different styles

  2. Experience working with poly count for multiple platforms
