Community Operations' focus is on supporting our users through both direct support interactions as well as scalable solutions, and on improving the health of our products by helping people understand how to use them. The Program Manager team is a lean global team, which supports Community Operations across all regions by managing programs that strengthen the operations ecosystem. The team enables Facebook's growth while continuing to support our community at an unprecedented scale. We are seeking a resilient self-starter who is eager to learn, collaborative and a proven team player. We value people who can strategically drive the team using macro-level insights, while still caring for micro-level cases affecting people around the globe. We're targeting an intellectually curious and creative individual who is comfortable operating in ambiguity — a strategic thinker with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills. You will work directly with our cross-functional team (engineering, marketing, growth, etc.), as well as all of the teams within Community Operations, to execute global projects from inception to launch. Ability to work across different time zones and capable of using analytical rigor to identify and prioritize user pain points.

Required Skills:

  1. Manage Facebook's cross-functional operational efforts, working with engineering, policy, training and other operational teams to ensure smooth rollout of changes

  2. Facilitate discussion and coordination among operational stakeholders across the company

  3. Communicate operational decisions to the broader cross-functional team, and ensure that those decisions are properly implemented

  4. Partner with the different operational teams to provide support and resources during and after projects

  5. Facilitates relationships between teams, moves initiatives forward, finds resources, raises concerns to appropriate owners early and resolves open issues that prevent progress

  6. Hold the line when schedule or progress is in jeopardy while maintaining respectful relationships

  7. Predicts roadblocks and obstacles and establishes meetings or integration points between teams

  8. Prioritize competing needs with good reasoning and creative solutions

  9. Maintains and refines programs and initiatives, establishing best practices, next steps, and outcomes

  10. Contributes to program processes and tools, updating databases and initiating improvements where needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA/BS degree required

  2. 3+ years of Program or Project Management experience

  3. Excellent communication and organization skills, with the ability to multi-task and juggle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  4. Track record of operating independently, demonstrating creativity, being detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly organized manner

  5. Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills with a clear focus under pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. 2+ years of experience working with SQL
