Summary:

Facebook is looking for a Business Analyst to join the Sales Operations team in Dublin. This role will offer great opportunity to further expand and develop our internal analytics & insights solutions. The mission of the Global Sales Operations group is to maximize business performance by being the objective, trusted partner to the sales organization – through strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence. We also identify and drive critical projects and strategic initiatives to support revenue growth. A successful candidate will have a strong analytical and consultative mindset, thorough understanding of databases and data visualization, the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, be self-sufficient, fast-paced, and have a passion for scaling reporting through automation. This is a unique position where you will act as an internal analytics expert and partner on providing business-level recommendations, but also operate independently on solving problems and analyzing data.

Required Skills:

  1. Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data visualization and data-mining to tell the story behind numbers and derive actionable insights for Global Sales Operations and cross-functional partners, with focus on the SMB channel

  2. Understand digital media Industry trends, and develop in-depth, vertical-based insights that help drive value for advertisers and higher adoption for Facebook ad products

  3. Conceptualize and build reports and dashboards that are simple, visually appealing, yet showcase a powerful story

  4. Be an expert in designing PowerPoint presentations that are succinct and crisp, with a balance of high-level insights for executives, and a detailed enough view for core teams

  5. Standardize and automate reports using internal databases and tools

  6. write data pipelines. Focus on impact, scalability and continuous improvement of the reporting solutions

  7. Work effectively with cross-functional teams, learn and apply best practices from other teams and always strive for high quality deliverables

  8. Respond to ad hoc requests and questions about revenue reporting

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master's degree in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance or Economics)

  2. Background in consumer Internet and social media is strongly preferred

  3. Work experience in data analytics

  4. Hands-on experience in SQL

  5. Prior experience in data analytics and statistics

  6. Working knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Micro Strategy etc.

  7. Proven experience leading data driven projects from definition through interpretation and execution

  8. Strong analytical skills, with experience solving ambiguous problems using data and providing practical business insights

  9. Fast learner

  10. achieve power-user status on multiple tools quickly

  11. Excellent written and verbal communication skills including strong presentation skills

  12. Python, Visual Basic and general programming skills are a plus
